About Spontaneous Theater Productions

Spontaneous Theater has a reputation for choosing plays that are celebratory in nature. The directors were raised with a love of history, literature, and the art of great story- telling.  "John Brown's Body" fulfills those criteria.  Like STP’s' former productions of "Oliver", "1776", "Cyrano De Bergerac", "Belle of Amherst", and "Our Town", this play will have a magic of its own, augmented by Larry Hazlett's lighting and sound design.  The chorus acts and sings and carries the audience from scene to scene.  We guarantee an uplifting and moving evening of theater as our family acts onstage together for the first time!

 . . . a word from the Director

It is a dream of every theater artist to act and direct one’s favorite actors all at once in a play just suited for their talents.  “John Brown’s Body” gives us the opportunity to do just that, capping our 40 year career in community theater in Wyoming . . . just at the right time!  Working with three talented choir directors long distance has been a great treat and challenge.  We are proud of this effort and hope many history, language, literature and theater lovers will come.
